Astemo selected in Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s “GX Startups Program”

Tokyo, October 14, 2026 - Astemo, Ltd. (hereafter “Astemo”) announced that it has been selected for the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s “FY2026 Demand Creation Support Project for Products and Services Developed by Green Transformation (GX) Startups Program” (hereafter “the Program”). Through this initiative, Astemo will promote technology scouting and exploration in collaboration with startup companies to accelerate the practical implementation of GX technologies.

Designed to support collaboration between established companies and startups possessing GX-related technologies, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government initiative promotes the social implementation of GX products and services. Companies selected for the Program receive support for startup matching as well as assistance in pursuing Letters of Intent (LOIs) and offtake agreements.^*

Astemo is advancing decarbonization initiatives across its entire value chain (Scopes 1, 2 and 3), beginning with the transparent and objective visualization of greenhouse gas emissions. To address challenges such as the adoption of low-environmental-impact materials, the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions through energy-efficient and electrified manufacturing processes and the promotion of resource circularity through the use of recycled materials and recycling initiatives, Astemo will leverage the Program to explore innovative GX technologies in collaboration with startup companies and pursue their future business implementation.

Astemo will continue to promote the social implementation of GX technologies through co-creation with a diverse range of partners, including startups and business partners, contributing to the realization of safe, eco-friendly and unrestricted mobility.
