Tokyo, October 13, 2026 - Astemo, Ltd. (hereafter “Astemo”) will exhibit at EICMA 2026*1 one of the world's largest motorcycle exhibitions, to be held in Milan, Italy from November 3 to November 8, 2026 (Hall 5, Booth A54, Fiera Milano). At the show, Astemo will showcase electronic suspension technologies capable of dynamically changing vehicle characteristics, as well as powertrain technologies that combine outstanding riding performance with high design flexibility. The company will also introduce advanced riding technologies, including integrated suspension and braking system design concepts that contribute to improved vehicle controllability and overall performance.

In recent years, the motorcycle market has seen growing demand not only for improved safety and comfort, but also for vehicles that can adapt to diverse riding situations and provide characteristics tailored to individual rider preferences. At the same time, the accelerating shift toward electrification is increasing expectations for highly efficient and high-performance electric powertrains.

To address these market needs, Astemo will present its latest technologies and products designed to further enhance motorcycle safety, comfort, and riding enjoyment.

The following products and technologies will be featured at the Astemo booth.

Suspension technologies

As a new addition to the EERA*2 lineup, Astemo will showcase a suspension system capable of switching spring rates according to riding conditions and rider demands.

This technology delivers direct and responsive handling during spirited riding, while providing enhanced stability and comfort during highway cruising. By enabling multiple vehicle personalities within a single motorcycle, it offers riders a completely new riding experience.

EERA (Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment) is an electronically controlled suspension system that automatically adjusts damping force in real time according to road and riding conditions.

Powertrain technologies

Astemo will exhibit an in-wheel motor for motorcycles that combines lightweight construction with high power output.

Featuring proprietary rotary-fin, natural air-cooling technology and advanced power-density technologies, the motor delivers powerful performance in a compact package. The in-wheel layout offers greater design flexibility, while the direct-drive configuration provides an engaging and responsive riding feel, expanding the possibilities of next-generation electric motorcycles.
In addition, Astemo will display products for internal combustion engine motorcycles, including carburetors and electronic throttle bodies.

Brake technologies

Astemo will showcase a mass-production monoblock brake caliper concept featuring customizable design covers, combining the high braking performance and reliability developed through the company's extensive expertise with greater styling flexibility.

Enabling expanded possibilities for motorcycle design, the concept’s new approach contributes to enhanced vehicle and brand value while enriching rider ownership satisfaction and customization opportunities.

Astemo will also exhibit a range of braking products, including anti-lock braking systems (ABS) and master cylinders.

Motorsport technologies

Astemo will showcase its Harmonized Function Design concept, applied to a front fork axle and brake caliper assembly.

This proprietary development approach integrates and optimizes the functions of both components, enabling weight reduction and enhanced vehicle dynamics while improving overall motorcycle performance. By designing multiple components collaboratively rather than independently, Astemo pursues a new level of performance optimization at the vehicle level.
Since its first public unveiling in 2024, the concept has undergone continuous refinement. Beginning in the 2026 racing season, it has been adopted in All Japan Road Race Championship’s JSB1000 class, Japan's premier road racing category. *3

At EICMA 2026, visitors will be able to explore the development process through video presentations, gaining firsthand insight into the motorsports-derived technologies and cutting-edge engineering expertise. They can also experience the story behind their evolution, from the racetrack to future motorcycle applications.
